Son of the legendary Vaidya Padmabhushan K Raghavan Thirumulpad and Smt. Vishalakshi Thamburatti.Studied at Chalakudy Govt high School and Sree Sankara college Kalady(1975-78).Learned Sanskrit from his father, including the texts like Raghuvamsham, Srikrishnavilasam, etc from teenage. Started learning Tarka Sangraham and Ashtanga Hridayam as soon as he finished his Pre-degree course. Undergraduation completed at Ollur Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda college (1978-1984). Passed out with 1st rank in the university. Learned chikithsa directly under his father and continued scientific discussions with him through letters, even after he moved to Trivandrum for post graduation in Kaya chikitsa(1985-88).Entered Government service in 1988, Kaya Chikitsa , Govt Ayurveda College Tripunithura. As per the advice from his father, started writing various articles soon after studies. Received various awards, the latest being Atreya award (2014) for the best Ayurveda teacher, instituted by the Kerala Government. Actively organising seminars, publications and other programmes under Vaidyabhushanam K Raghavan Thirumulpad Foundation, Chalakkudy to promote Ayurveda, especially it's fundamentals. Senior member of the editorial boards of various publications, including the Aryavaidyan, the quarterly journal from Kottakkal Arya Vaidhya Sala, and Vaidyasamvadam, publication of the Vaidyabhushanam K Raghavan Thirumulpad Foundation.
