Sri. Keshvendra Kumar, S/o an Ayurveda doctor Sri. Rameshwar Jha was born in Bihar. He completed Hindi (Hons) in IGNOU. He Joined Indian Railways as a railways booking clerk. In 2008, he cracked the prestigious Civil Service Examination in his very first attempt. He was allotted Kerala Cadre. He is among the youngest in his batch to get into Indian Administrative Services in 2008. He started his career as the Assistant Collector in Ernakulam District in 2009 and later became the Sub Collector in Pala and Thalassery in 2010 and 2011. He served as Director, Higher Secondary Education from 2012 to 2014. He was the District Collector of Wayanad from 2014 to 2016. He became very dear to the general public in Wayanad district due to his down to earth approach. He initiated several welfare measures in the district namely providing electricity to tribal villages, ensuring proper functioning of Government programmes in the district especially in tribal areas etc. In August 2016, he was posted as the State Mission Director of National Health Mission, (NHM) Kerala. He also holds charge of State Mission Director, National Ayush Mission (NAM).It is his dynamism and impulsiveness that makes him a perfect fit in Indian Administrative Services and it is indeed a pleasure to have him in this occasion as our Chief Guest.
